Dr. Marcie Nichols

Dr Marcie Nichols

Dr. Marcie Mathes Nichols started her studies at Iowa State University where she completed her degree with distinction in Microbiology, Immunology, and Preventative Medicine. She continued her education at the Illinois College of Optometry, affiliated with the University of Chicago, where she graduated with honors. She was honored with memberships in Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity and Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. She was also awarded two clinical excellence awards during her studies, the GP Lens Institute award for Clinical Excellence and the ICO Clinical Excellence Award, which she shared with only 7 others in her graduating class by having honors grades in all of her externship rotations.

Upon graduation Dr. Nichols moved to the Twin Cities and began working at various locations in the area, but was always thinking ahead to the time when she could care for her patients in an ideal eye care setting with the highest technology, comfortable atmosphere, and extremely knowledgeable staff. She has achieved all of these things by creating Perspectives Vision Clinic.

Dr. Nichols is a Southwest Minneapolis resident, close at hand to take care of urgent eye care needs including after hours care. She is dedicated to the residents of this community and feels very fortunate to live and work in an area filled with such amazing people. You will often find her walking the dog around Lake Harriet with her husband, Bryan, and son, Hollis.
