Dr. Nichols began her optometry career at Iowa State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Microbiology, Immunology, and Preventive Medicine. Her education continued at the Illinois College of Optometry, where she graduated with honors and became a member of the Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity, and Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. During her studies, she also earned two prestigious clinical excellence awards: the GP Lens Institute award for Clinical Excellence and the ICO Clinical Excellence Award.
Upon graduation, Dr. Nichols moved to the Twin Cities and began providing eye care services at several local optometry clinics. However, she dreamed of the day when she could care for her patients in an ideal eye care setting, combining cutting edge technology with expert staff, in a relaxed and friendly environment.
To achieve her dream, Dr. Nichols opened Perspectives Vision Clinic.
Dr. Nichols lives in southwest Minneapolis, close enough to the clinic that she can provide patients with urgent eye care services and after-hours care. Her unwavering dedication to her community and passion for optometric care, make Perspectives Vision Clinic the amazing practice it is today. When she isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Nichols cherishes taking long walks around Lake Harriet with her husband, Bryan, and their two sons, Hollis and Ambrose.
